It is interesting to see the agriculture here. There are no animal barns on the farms. They are grain farmers. Since there are no animals, that also means they must ship in all their inputs (fertilizer, etc.). My grad school advisor would not be happy with that system, where nutrients are trucked in as components, out as commodities. Think about where that leaves the biome of the soil microbes to be fertilized with an NPK mix, perhaps some specific nutrients as needed.
